Summary
Using the 1990s US stock market internet bubble as an example, the article introduces the concept of "irrational exuberance." Drawing on views from Shiller, author of "Irrational Exuberance," the author argues that falling interest rates alone cannot fully explain bubbles—investors' irrational psychology and behavior are the key factors. Shiller's survey data shows that the higher the market climbs, the more investors believe stocks are the best asset class, leading to an "inverted pyramid" flow of capital with heavy positions at the top, ultimately amplifying volatility and losses when markets decline. The article concludes by returning to the consistent investment philosophy: select quality products, patiently wait for low-valuation buying opportunities, and avoid chasing rallies or selling in panic. Main Points
* 1. Falling interest rates cannot fully explain bubbles—investor psychology is the key factor.
The author cites Shiller's research, noting that falling interest rates have occurred many times throughout history but did not always generate bubbles. It is investors' collective irrational behavior that served as a major driver of the internet bubble.
* 2. Investors' confidence forms a positive feedback loop with rising markets, creating an "inverted pyramid" capital structure.
As the market climbs, investors become more confident and invest more, causing most capital to concentrate at market highs. Once prices fall, losses are severe.
* 3. The approach to countering irrational exuberance is to consistently buy at low valuations and avoid chasing rallies or panic selling.
The article's conclusion returns to the author's consistent strategy: select quality products and patiently wait for low-valuation opportunities, avoiding frequent trading and emotional decision-making.

• 挑选好的品种,然后耐心等待低估买入;

Key Quotes
> In reality, the products remain the same—only human nature has changed. The higher the market climbs, the more confident investors become, and this confidence drives more capital into the market, further propelling prices upward.
> The result of this irrational exuberance is that most investors' actual capital deployment follows an "inverted pyramid" structure. In other words, they buy less at the bottom and more as prices rise. Ultimately, at market highs, investors have deployed the most capital.
