据多家媒体12日报道，国际足联主席因凡蒂诺近日接受采访时表示，国际足联将在2030年世界杯前探讨是否将世界杯参赛队伍从目前的48队进一步扩军至64队。
因凡蒂诺表示，本届美加墨世界杯将参赛队伍从32队扩充至48队是百分之百正确的决定，每支球队都踢出了高水平。他表示在本届世界杯结束后，将由国际足联相关委员会对世界杯继续扩军一事进行审查和讨论。
