傍晚是蚊虫最为活跃的时段，记者沿着环湖步道缓步行走，特意在湖边绿植茂密处、儿童游玩区、临水休憩长椅等蚊虫易出没点位驻足停留近半小时，全程裸露手臂和小腿，并未遭遇蚊虫叮咬，耳边也几乎没有恼人的蚊鸣。和其他临水公园蚊虫扎堆的体验截然不同，在彩虹湖公园纳凉散步，无需涂抹驱蚊液、手持驱蚊设备，就能放松休闲。

据了解，设备投放并非简单均匀摆放。前期，工作人员完成全园区蚊虫滋生点位摸排，重点锁定环湖湿地、草坪绿化带、儿童游乐区、休闲座椅等人流密集区域，结合市民日常游览动线精准布点。经专业检测，这套设备对白纹伊蚊捕杀效果可达99.39%，园区蚊虫密度得到有效控制。
